Ok, so it's not the beginning of time. It's not even the beginning of the immense journey of which this blog has been created to document. That journey is WELL under way.
I have been in Australia, (Kensington, Sydney), for about a month. I touched down on July 9th at 6.35am to be precise. And why have I only just started blogging? Theres a LOT to do when you move to the other side of the world you know! (Well theres that, and also I've been reading Goose and Becky's blogs and I am heaps* jealous).
When I arrived in Sydney, Jennie came with me. We did a heaps* of touristy stuff, and I wont bore you with it all.. But here is a sample.

I took this photo from Harbour Bridge. |

This is the Koala Sanctuary. We had to get a bus there, which was quite an experience. Apparently you have to flag down buses here or they don't stop. Not only that, but once you've managed to stop the bus, you have to have a prepaid ticket to get on it!
Safe to say, we had a NIGHTMARE journey and got laughed at a LOT.
Obviously, one of the first things we had to do was visit this renowned piece of architecture -->
Jennie has left now and I am all alone. Except for all the amazing really cool new friends I have made!! Theres about 20 of us, in this one big group, and we have named ourselves the Goon Squad. I'm not sure who came up with this name, but it's fitting. Goon is like wine, except it tastes foul and comes in 5litre boxes. Unfortunately, being students, in the most expensive city on the planet, it is the only thing that we can afford.
Last week was Heaven and Hell night at the Roundhouse. Obviously I was an angel, I didn't even have to dress up.

There has been various other going out/dressing up antics since this, again I wont bore you with an entire documentation.
This is Jon, part of the Goon Squad. He is already under the influence of goon, and is seen here having more goon poured into his mouth.
(Part of a game where his chin had to be touching the table for some reason or another..)
*Heaps - Australians use this all the time. 'Oh that is heaps cool.' or 'Oh I'm heaps late'. Kind of strange.
